Nebraska 4-H Grows Here

Problem:

As Nebraska 4-H began implementing the national 4-H Grows Here branding and marketing campaign on a state and local level, the county and state programs required updated promotional materials.

 

Previous materials carried a holiday feel as a result of pairing the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and 4-H logos. Additionally, state and local 4-H programs generally have had difficulty acquiring high-quality and representative photography for marketing promotional purposes. Past promotional materials were visual stiff and did not appropriate represent the youth development program. 

 

Solution:

Various materials were planned out and created, including a printed promotional booklet, thank you card for donors, flyer templates for county staff use, and event signage for Nebraska State Fair. The visual identity for the Nebraska 4-H Grows Here campaign was a youthful blend of the National 4-H campaign and University of Nebraska–Lincoln branding. The UNL color palette was adopted with the substitute of 4-H green for UNL's teal green. The new color palette allowed for a complementary pairing of Nebraska crimson and 4-H green.
